Arora Group to develop hotel at Heathrow Terminal 2

The Arora Group has been given the go-ahead to develop a 298-bedroom hotel with direct access to the Queen's Terminal, Terminal 2 at London Heathrow airport.

Talks are currently taking place with leading hotel groups regarding the branding of the property, which will include a restaurant and bar. The hotel will be built by Grove Developments, the construction division of the Arora Group.

It will be the third hotel to join the pipeline for the Arora Group at Heathrow, alongside the 750-bedroom dual development of the Crowne Plaza London - Heathrow Terminal 4 and Holiday Inn Express London - Heathrow Terminal 4, which are due to open in 2017. Together, the three hotels will add an additional 1,048 bedrooms to the airport.

Arora has also recently purchased the franchise and occupational lease of Hilton London Stansted.

Surinder Arora, founder and chairman of the Arora Group said: "The people at the Arora Group are experts in this kind of development and we proudly bring another hotel to the Heathrow area with a direct connection to the Queen's Terminal, Terminal 2.

Stephen Wilkinson, Heathrow property director, added: "This hotel is a further step in Heathrow's strategy to provide the world's best airport facilities and services for our passengers."

The hotels division of the Arora group currently owns and operates eight hotels, including the 452-bedroom InterContinental London - The O2, which opened at the end of last year.
