Best Western Clifton hotel sold to Leaf Hotels

The property was sold by property agent Fleurets on behalf of Jennifer and Peter Hail. Leaf Hotels already owns the four-AA-star, 68-bedroom Ramada hotel in Dover and the 89-bedroom Holiday Inn Express in Canterbury.

Kanagaratnam Rajamenon, managing director of Leaf Hotels, said: "We are delighted to have acquired the Best Western Clifton hotel and we look forward to building on the foundations laid by Mr and Mrs Hail as we finalise plans for the refurbishment of the hotel next year."

Paul Hardwick, head of hotels at Fleurets, added: "Mr and Mrs Hail have successfully grown the Best Western Clifton hotel and are handing over an excellent opportunity that we are sure will compliment Leaf Hotels' existing portfolio."
