Boutique Essex hotel sells for £2.5m

The boutique Manor hotel, restaurant and function venue in Rainham, Essex, has been sold for close to the £2.5m asking price.

The three-AA-star hotel is located in Berwick Pond Road in a rural area on the fringes of Rainham, which is 17 miles from central London and three miles from the Dartford Tunnel.

The property was built in 2004 on the site of the old Berwick Manor and now offers 13 en-suite bedrooms, an 80-seat fine-dining restaurant, and a function room licensed to cater for 180 guests standing or 80 dining, which is popular for weddings.

Other facilities include a self-contained owners' penthouse flat, a 78-bay car park and landscaped gardens.

Business agent Forum TTT Business Sales handled the sale of the property to experienced entrepreneurs who prefer to remain anonymous.
