BrewDog sees revenue increase by more than £50m in 2018

BrewDog saw gross revenue increase by more than £50m in 2018, reaching £171.6m, as sales grew by 55%.

Financial results for the year ending 31 December 2018 show gross profits of £57.7m, up from £36.7m, but a pre-tax loss of £576,000 compared to a profit of £1.4m in 2017.

Bar sales increased by 95% in 2018 as the group opened 21 new sites globally, along with its first hotel in Columbus, US.

BrewDog, which has repeatedly used crowdfunding to help finance expansion during the 12 years since its launch, now has 97,000 investors signed up to its Equity for Punks scheme.

Earlier this year BrewDog revealed aspirations for a London hotel, launching a search for a suitable location.
