Bruce Taverns buys Kirkcaldy hotel

Edinburgh-based Bruce Taverns has added the Strathearn hotel in Kirkcaldy, Fife, to its collection of small hotels and country inns in Scotland.

The hotel in Wishart Place is a popular venue for weddings and private parties.

It offers 17 en-suite bedrooms, two function rooms that can accommodate around 200 delegates each, a 40-seat restaurant, a cocktail bar and a two-bedroom owners' flat.

The Edinburgh office of Christie + Co sold the hotel in a confidential off-market deal off a guide price of £750,000.

Christie + Co acted on behalf of Roger and Frances Johnstone.
