Butlins' Shoreline hits third of 2006 sales target in one month

Butlins' first resort hotel, the Shoreline in Bognor Regis, has achieved one-third of its target sales for 2006 in January alone.

The 160-bedroom hotel, which was forecast to turn over £3m in 2006, racked up £1m in turnover during the first month of this year.

The West Sussex hotel has turned over a total of £2.2m between 16 August 2005 (when it opened) and 31 January this year.

Shoreline manager Martin Jackson has been promoted to resort director, taking charge of the Bognor Regis resort as well as the hotel.
