Butlin's to open first resort hotel in Bognor

Butlin's is to open its first resort hotel in the seaside town of Bognor Regis.

The 160-bed Shoreline hotel is aimed at both the family and adult market and will open on 2 September.

"We are very excited," said Jim Forward, director for the project. "We have had a lot of interest from both existing and new customers."

Rooms range from basic studio accommodation to deluxe suites, many with a balcony and sea views. The hotel also has a restaurant and cocktail bar.

A break for a family of four staying at the Shoreline will cost from £79 per person per night on a room-only basis.

The Bognor Regis resort can hold up to 5,000 guests in 1,500 apartments and attracts more than 1.3 million holiday-makers a year.

Other Butlin's resorts may offer hotel accommodation in the future.

"Once this one is up and running, we will certainly be thinking about it," Forward added.
