Calum Ross becomes Hilton's general manager for central Scotland
Calum Ross has been recruited by Hilton Hotels Corporation to take up the newly-created role of area general manager for central Scotland, where he will oversee five hotels across the region.
Ross, who has 21 years' experience in the industry, joins from from Jarvis Hotels, where he spent 14 years, most recently as regional director for Scotland. He has also worked for Stakis, before it was acquired by Hilton in 2001, and Park Hotels.
The new Hilton regime has also seen Stewart Lorimer appointed as area general manager for north Scotland, giving him responsibility for five hotels across the region.
Lorimer joins from Marriott International, where he spent 12 years, most recently as general manager for its North of England region.
Lorimer has more than 20 years' experience in the hotel sector, taking on his first management role at the Berkeley Arms hotel in Cranford, Middlesex, in 1988 before spending the majority of his career to date in Scotland and Newcastle.
