Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group appoints Edward Pinchard as vice-president sales EMEA

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has appointed Edward Pinchard as vice-president sales, EMEA.

Pinchard will be based in Brussels corporate office and will report to Eric De Neef, executive vice-president and chief commercial officer.

The hotel group said this appointment demonstrates the company's commitment to promoting from within.

Edward joined the group in April 2012 as the global director of sales for UK and Ireland. In his new role, he will be responsible for driving increased market share and for leading and implementing the sales strategy to optimise global revenue growth.

De Neef said: "Edward has extensive experience in the hospitality industry and has proven to be a key member of our UK & Ireland leadership team over the last three years.

"His work has seen him successfully lead the integration of the national and global sales organisations, while also playing an instrumental role in establishing and growing the global partnership between Carlson Rezidor and HRG Worldwide.

"I am truly delighted to welcome him to a corporate role and look forward to working closely with him in the future."

Pinchard has spent the last 20 years working in the hospitality industry, starting his career with Intercontinental Hotels Group before going on to work at Hilton Hotels and GHL Hotels in a variety of sales and commercial roles in Europe, Middle East and the United States.

He said: "I've thoroughly enjoyed my time working for the UK & Ireland operation and I look forward to continued success in this new leadership role."
