Cheshire investors buy Wimbledon hotel

A family-run hotel in Wimbledon which has catered for rock stars Eric Clapton and UB40 in the past has been bought by private investors from Cheshire.

The Wimbledon hotel, which has been run by Yvonne Withers for the past 24 years, lies on the busy B235 road and is near the town centre, the famous Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Club, and the museum

The detached Victorian building has 15 bedrooms spread across four floors and an extension to the rear. It incorporates a guest lounge, a breakfast room and a two-bedroom owners' accommodation.

The Epsom office of Christie + Co sold the leasehold off a guide price of £210,000.
