The new hotels include Quality Hotel Bury St Edmunds, Quality Hotel Colchester, Quality Hotel Peterborough and Quality Hotel Kings Lynn.

Outside of East Anglia it has opened the Clarion Collection hotel Cromwell Stevenage and Clarion Collection hotel Makeney Hall situated close to the Peak District.

The hotel franchisor has also opened a number of new properties across Europe, including the Comfort Hotel Friedrichshafen in Germany, which takes the country's total of Choice brands to 38.

UK chief executive Duncan Berry said: "We are pleased to welcome these hotels to our network of European properties which offer outstanding service and facilities to leisure and business travellers alike."
