City Inn Group unveils £300m expansion plan
Boutique business hotel operator, City Inn, has announced a £330m expansion plan for the next four years, which will see its first properties developed overseas.
A 550-room hotel in Amsterdam is set to be the company's flagship project, according to chief executive David Orr.
He said he wanted to acquire sites in all major European cities, including Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, Rome and Milan.
Plans are also afoot for four new hotels in the UK, a 600-room hotel in London near the Tower of London, a 333-room hotel in Leeds and a 284-room property in Manchester, which is due to open next year.
Orr told The Times that the company would continue to seek further sites in London and his home town of Edinburgh, as well as aiming for sites in the USA further down the line.
The group currently has four properties in London, Birmingham, Bristol and Glasgow.
