Closing date for Young Chef Young Waiter competition extended

The closing date for entries for this year's Young Chef Young Waiter Competition has been extended to Thursday, 16 July.

The competition, in association with luxury hotel group Von Essen, rewards the best young chef and young waiter aged 25 and under and is now in its 25th year.

It is organised by the Restaurant Association in partnership with HSBC, the Savoy Educational Trust and Sodexo.

Judges will include Bruce Poole, chef proprietor of Chez Bruce, as the chair of the chef judges and Stephen Mannock of Darlington College as the chair of the waiter judges.
