Considerate Hoteliers joins forces with BAHA
The environmentally-focused organisation Considerate Hoteliers Association (CHA) has entered into a strategic alliance with BAHA (British Association of Hospitality Accountants) to help hoteliers become more environmentally aware.
Over the next year, BAHA will act as the CHA's nominated expert for the hospitality industry's financial matters and training related to the environment. It will also offer impartial collective advice to the CHA's members via the CHA website, newsletter, joint case studies, and activities such as the association's newly-introduced ‘Environmental Best Practice Events'.
The CHA will also be contributing reciprocal advice to BAHA members through its website, the BAHA Times and the association's events.
CHA association secretary John Firrell said of the alliance: "It is a ‘win-win' situation for both organisations. At CHA, we look forward very much, through BAHA, to demonstrating the importance and significant benefits of exercising ‘environmental best practice' to hospitality finance, revenue and IT professionals; and offering guidance, encouragement and support for implementing effective sustainability policies."
The next Best Practice event will take place on Tuesday, 13 October 2009, at Beales Hotels' West Lodge Park at Hadley Wood in Hertfordshire.
