Cookery school for Exclusive Hotels and Venues underway at Lainston House
Work has started on the construction of a £1m cookery school for Exclusive Hotels and Venues, located within the grounds of its five-AA-star Lainston House hotel, near Winchester, Hampshire.
Season, the Exclusive Cookery School is being developed in a wheelhouse barn adjacent to the kitchen garden of the 49-bedroom hotel. Featuring a Grade I listed donkey water wheel, the school will be the home of the Exclusive Chefs' Academy, which launched last year with 13 trainees, as well as host a range of masterclasses and bespoke events for members of the public.
It will comprise six cookery stations and a demonstration table, where chefs across Exclusive Hotels and Venues, including Olly Rouse, Matt Gillan, Michael Wignall, Richard Davies and Denis Drame, will showcase their skills. A function room will enable guests to dine with participating chefs.
Danny Pecorelli, managing director of Exclusive Hotels and Venues and the 2014 Hotelier of the Year, said: "Season is set to make a fantastic addition to the luxury facilities on offer at Lainston House, and will provide a superb outlet for our multi-award winning chefs across the group to relay their expertise and knowledge.''
The school is expected to launch in the summer, with masterclasses available from £150 per person.
Exclusive Hotels and Venues is made up of four five-AA-star hotels (Pennyhill Park, Bagshot, Surrey; South Lodge, near Horsham, West Sussex; Manor House, near Bath, Wiltshire; and Lainston House) and two venues (Royal Berkshire, Ascot, Berkshire; and Fanhams Hall, Ware, Hertfordshire).
