Crerar unveils phase one of GoGlasgow urban hotel project

Crerar Hotels has launched the first phase of its new GoGlasgow urban hotel.

The 117-bedroom hotel is on the site of the former Swallow hotel on Paisley Road West, Glasgow, which Crerar acquired for an undisclosed sum from administrators Deloitte in September 2014.

As well as revamping the rooms, the first part of the redevelopment has included the opening of an 80 seater GoGrill, a 100-seat bar and meeting venue and event rooms with a combined space for 350 guests.

Phase two, which is due to begin in spring next year, will include a meeting space for 250 people as well as a spa and treatment rooms.

"Like all our hotels, GoGlasgow delivers heart and soul through great service and real hospitality."

Graham Urquhart, formerly of Palm Court in Aberdeen, is GoGlasgow's general manager while John Hyslop, formerly of Portevaddie resort, prior to joining Crerar Thainstone house, has been appointed as head chef.

Crerar Hotel Group was formed in 2006 and now operates 13 hotels and inns throughout Scotland and Yorkshire.
