Crowne Plaza Dublin to add Holiday Inn

The owners of Dublin airport's Crowne Plaza hotel have announced plans for a second €30m (£20.2m) hotel and conference centre.

A new three-star, 114-bedroom Express by Holiday Inn will be built adjacent to the existing four-star Crowne Plaza hotel.

The development will also include a two storey, 9,144sq m conference centre with 27 meeting rooms, taking the conference capacity from 240 to 750 delegates.

The Crowne Plaza's owners, Gerry Houlihan and Aidan Crowe, are behind the development, which is due to be competed in July 2006.
