Damien Hirst art displayed at newly opened 45 Park Lane
Art work from Damien Hirst is given pride of place at 45 Park Lane - the third hotel in the UK from the Dorchester Collection, which opened in London today.
Also launching today is the hotel's American steak restaurant, CUT at 45 Park Lane, which marks Wolfgang Puck's first venture in Europe.
Designed in a contemporary style with art deco influences by Thierry W Despont, the 45-bedroom hotel features original art by 10 leading living British artists in every bedroom and suite. The restaurant is where 16 of Hirst's limited-edition Psalms series are displayed together for the first time.
The hotel, which also features Bar 45, a residents' library and a private media room, opens with an introductory room rate of £350 available until 11 September 2011, when the rate will start from £395.
45 Park Lane is the ninth hotel in the Dorchester Collection and marks the group's third property in the UK alongside the Dorchester in London and Coworth Park in Ascot.
