Days Hotel Derby acquired by London Town Group

London Town Group has acquired the Days Hotel and Cardamom Club Restaurant, in Derby.

The 100-bedroom, three-star hotel was built in 2003 and adjoins the Derbyshire County Cricket Club. It is now part of a portfolio that also includes four hotels in London, and the Mercure in Nottingham.

It forms the latest move in the group's plans to increase its properties outside of the capital.

Koolesh Shah, managing director of London Town Group of Companies, said: "The provinces are an important growth market for us.

Days Hotel Derby and Cardamom Club support our provincial growth strategy and perfectly complement our rapidly expanding portfolio. With many other exciting opportunities on the horizon, we will continue acquiring hotels in key UK locations this year to meet our growth expectations."

ES Group acted for the London Town Group in making the deal.
