Deadline extended for Olive Barnett Awards 2012

Entries for the 2012 Savoy Gastronomes Olive Barnett Award, run by Springboard have been extended to Friday 23 March.

The award, which was created by the Savoy Gastronomes in honour of Olive Barnett, who pioneered excellence at the Savoy hotel, recognises high-achievers aged 29 or younger in customer-facing roles in hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism.

Entrants are invited to produce a short video plus a CV and employer testimonial by 16 March. A shortlist of the top 30 will be drawn up, with judges refining this list down to eight finalists by 4 May.

From these entries, a shortlist of 30 entrants will be selected and invited to submit a 750-word report, from which a final shortlist of eight finalists will be invited to attend the judging weekend on 25-28 May at the Savoy Hotel.

For more details and to enter for the award, visit www.sgoba.springboard.uk.net. The deadline for entries is Friday 16 March.
