Devon's Dart Marina Hotel in Dartmouth to relaunch River Restaurant
The Dart Marina Hotel in Dartmouth, Devon, is set to relaunch its River Restaurant this spring.
Overlooking the River Dart, the new 90-seat restaurant, which will be overseen by head chef Tom Woods, forms part of a £1m redesign of the property. The project also includes 14 newly redesigned guest rooms, with river views and plans also include landscaping an area at the front of the hotel.
The new restaurant, which will be spread over two levels, will feature soft leather in warm bark tones, burnt caramel and olive velvet, large dining chairs and soft banquette seating. Lighting features will include ceramic oak-leaf wall lights, bronze pendants and table lamps.
At the rear of the restaurant a new bar area will feature soft blue and grey sofas, curvy bar tables and a marble-topped main bar.
Dart Marina manager Paul Downing commented: "We are investing £1m in the hotel as part of our ongoing commitment to maintain the highest standards for our guests and to ensure that the hotel is positioned to offer exceptional hospitality for many years to come."
The construction of the new River Restaurant is being project managed and built by Ease Development Services of Shaldon in Devon, while Do Design Studio in London is overseeing the interior.
For the main construction work to be carried out, Dart Marina will be closed from 29 January to 24 February.
