Dominique Colliat becomes MD of Sofitel EMEA
Dominique Colliat has been appointed as managing director for Accor's Sofitel Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) division.
Colliat began her career at Accor managing a succession of hotels in the Caribbean, mainland France and the UK.
In 1998, she joined Club Méd as operations director for the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos and the Caribbean before moving up the ranks to become vice-president of Club Méd North America.
She returned to the Accor group in 2007 to take on the role of operations director for Sofitel France. Just one year later, she was appointed managing director for Sofitel Southern Europe and Maghreb.
Colliat will continue to manage global positioning for the brand, and will also supervise development projects in the EMEA, including openings in Rabat, Dubai, Bahrain, Mauritius and Vienna, as well as the first Sofitel Legend in Europe - the Sofitel Grand, Amsterdam.
She is also involved in a number of Accor foundation projects, particularly in Morocco and Algeria where she supports several local causes, including the launch of the Escales Littéraires (literary events).
