Dorchester appoints Kostas Sfaltos executive assisant manager for rooms

The Dorchester has appointed Kostas Sfaltos as executive assistant manager, rooms, as part of its new "sense of arrival" team. His role will focus on the guest experience.

Sfaltos joins from InterContinental London Park Lane, where he rose from assistant front of house manager to executive assistant manager in 10 years.

He will report to Roland Fasel, general manager and regional director UK, who said the hotel was going from strenth to strength in terms of service. "It is important to bring in fresh talent to ensure we stay at the top of our game, so we are delighted to welcome someone with Kostas's passion and drive for creating a guest experience that surpasses all others," he added.

Sfaltos said: "It is a great honour to oversee the operations and guest experience in such an iconic hotel. For many decades the Dorchester has been the benchmark for luxury hospitality in London. I am looking forward to working with all my new colleagues to create the world's finest hotel."

Greek by birth, Sfaltos was educated in hotel operations at Rhodes Hotel Management School and went on to gain a Postgraduate Diploma in Hotel Management and a Masters of Science in Hotel Management.
