Dorchester Collection set to acquire Rome's Hotel Eden

The Dorchester Collection has confirmed that it is negotiating to acquire the Hotel Eden in Rome.

A spokesperson for the London-based group of luxury hotels said that discussions are currently being held with Starman, the owner of Hotel Eden, which is currently operated under Starwood's Le Meridien brand.

The addition of the 121-bedroom hotel to the Dorchester Collection would provide the group with a second hotel in Italy, joining the Principe di Savoia in Milan.

It is expected the hotel would undergo an extensive refurbishment to join the collection which currently has nine hotels in the UK, USA, France, Switzerland and Italy.
