Doubletree by Hilton Glasgow Central appoints Craig Munro as GM
The 300-bedroom Doubletree by Hilton Glasgow Central, which was rebranded in September following a £11m refurbishment, has appointed Craig Munro as general manager.
Munro, who joins the hotel from the same position at the Novotel Glasgow Central and, prior to that, the Novotel Edinburgh Centre, said he was "thrilled" about his appointment.
"The hotel's refurbishment has breathed new life into this fantastic property and our team is ready to welcome new and returning guests to the hotel. We're poised for a busy and exciting 2017 and we hope that travellers and local Glaswegians alike will join us for a drink in our new bar Cask or pop in for some at our new concept restaurant Brisket."
Also new to the property is Frances Hope in the newly created role of business development director. She has joined the hotel from the Hilton Carlton Edinburgh.
Terry McBeth has joined the hotel as director of sales from his previous role as account director at ExecSpace in Edinburgh, and Harjeet Kaur will focus on driving corporate and social meetings, conferences and events after being named as the MICE sales manager.
Previously known as the Glasgow Central hotel, the Doubletree by Hilton Glasgow Central is owned and operated by Amaris Hospitality.
