The Eden Hotel Collection has joined forces with the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) for the second time to acquire the 10-bedroom Caterham House hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon, for around £1m.
Located a few minutes' walk from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in the centre of Stratford, the hotel will became a sister property to the four-AA-star, 45-bedroom-bedroom Arden hotel, which is also jointly owned by Eden and the RSC.
The hotel has been acquired from the Young family, who have owned the hotel since 2002.
Mark Chambers, group managing director of the Eden Hotel Collection, said: "Along with our partners the RSC, we are pleased to have this exciting opportunity to expand our offering in Stratford-upon-Avon."
Colliers International advised the Youngs in the sale.
Caterham House joins a portfolio of hotels, which now numbers 10 properties and includes Mallory Court, Leamington Spa Worcestershire; the Greenway hotel and spa, Cheltenham; and Bovey Castle resort and spa, Dartmoor, Devon.
