Edinburgh buyer for Fearn hotel

The Fearn hotel, a recently-refurbished country house hotel in the Ross-shire village of Fearn, has been bought by Graeme Cousins from Edinburgh.

The two-storey stone property with single-storey extensions to the front and rear is close to Cromarty Firth and can be reached from the A9 Inverness to Tain Road.

The three-star business provides six bedrooms, two-bedroom owners' accommodation, a 32-seat restaurant, and seating for another 28 customers across the main and lounge bars.

Expansion options include outbuildings currently used for storage that could be converted to extra bedrooms or self-catering accommodating, and a side garden with planning permission to erect a three- to four-bedroom house.

The Edinburgh office of Christie + Co sold the freehold off an asking price of £375,000 on behalf of Paul Hart.
