Election 2010: hoteliers gear up for a long night

Hoteliers and restaurateurs are gearing up for a long night as the results of the General Election are announced in the early hours of Friday 7 May.

Von Essen's Ston Easton Park Hotel (left), near Bath, is offering guests the opportunity to hear the results in a luxurious setting, following Champagne and a £60 three-course dinner.

The 22-bedroom hotel is teaming up with Bang and Olufsen to provide screens throughout the ground floor of the Palladian mansion house, allowing guests to keep in touch with all the political action.

There will also be a non-political ballot box competition with a chance to win Bang and Olufsen and Von Essen prizes.

And for those wishing to make a night of it, Ston Easton is offering the special rate of £80 per person, including breakfast in the morning to celebrate or commiserate over.
