First-time buyers for Lochearnhead hotel

Alan and Sharon Clark from Cupar have made their hospitality debut with the purchase of the Mansewood Country House hotel on the outskirts of Lochearnhead.

The three-star hotel occupies a one-acre, roadside plot within Scotland's first National Park in Perthshire.

A 250-year-old former manse, the hotel now offers five en-suite letting rooms, a guest lounge, a 12-seat dining room, and a residents' bar.

There is also three-bedroom owners' accommodation and a separate, self-catering log cabin to sleep up to four guests.

The Glasgow office of Christie + Co sold the freehold off a guide price in excess of £425,000 on behalf of Richard and Jan Spencer.
