Focus Hotels Management appoints Lynn Hood as COO

Lynn Hood, one-time managing director of the Belfry hotel and resort in Sutton Coldfield, has been appointed chief operating officer of Focus Hotels Management.

She joins the company, which is comprised of 15 hotels open and under development, from her consultancy business Hotel Prosperity, where she worked with Westmont Hospitality Group, De Vere Hotels and KSL Capital Partners. Prior to launching her own company, she worked for the Belfry, as well as operations director for City Inn, and in a number of management roles for Malmaison and Marriott International.

Peter Cashman, chief executive of Focus, said that Hood would help develop the group to become "a leading independent white label management company".

Focus Hotels currently operates hotel franchise agreements with Hilton, InterContinental Hotels Group and Accor Hotels, as well as independent hotels such as the Hotel Colessio in Stirling, Sketchley Grange and Spa in Hinckley, Leicestershire, and the Oxford Witney hotel.

Hood said: "Joining Focus Hotels Management gives me the opportunity to support its future development. There is a great team in place and I look forward to working with them to drive the future success of the business in what is a challenging business environment."
