Focus Hotels takes over Ramada Heathrow and Bristol
Focus Hotels has taken over the management of Ramada Hotel Heathrow and Ramada Hotel Bristol from the administrators of Ramada Jarvis.
The two hotels went into administration on 30 September and the new management has safeguarded the jobs of 170 staff, who have all been taken on by Focus as part of the agreement.
Peter Cashman, chief executive of Focus Hotels Management, said: "We are delighted to have agreed a deal to manage these hotels and look forward to delivering the long term development plans to take both businesses forward.
"This underlines the confidence that investors have in Focus Hotels Management, demonstrated by our track record and our success in managing successful quality hotels."
The two newly-acquired businesses bring Focus Hotels' portfolio to 14 properties, after it also signed a franchise agreement with Accor to operate 10 of its existing hotels under the midscale Mercure brand, announced yesterday.
