Former Distinguished Hotels chairman found dead

Former Distinguished Hotels chairman Timothy Hadcock-Mackay has been found dead at his Nottinghamshire estate.

His body was discovered by a relative last Friday, after what appears to be a suicide.

A police spokesman said: "The body of Mr Hadcock-Mackay was at his property. There were no suspicious circumstances."

It is believed Hadcock-Mackay was troubled by the circumstances surrounding the collapse of the Distinguished Hotels marketing association.

It went into liquidation last month after closing its doors in April with debts of more than £1m.

Family and friends were unavailable for comment.
