Four Seasons announces new EMEA president of operations
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has promoted Simon Casson to president of hotel operations for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region as part of a trio of new appointments.
Alongside Casson, Christian Clerc has been appointed to president of the Americas, while Rainer Stampfer has taken on the same role for Asia Pacific.
Casson will oversee hotel operations across his region, which will include the soon-to-open Ten Trinity Square property in London.
He is currently regional vice-president and general manager of Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach and will continue to be based in Dubai, in the brand's corporate offices, transitioning to his new role over the next few weeks.
A UK native, Casson joined Four Seasons 27 years ago and has held management positions in London, Washington DC and Doha. In 2011 he was promoted to regional vice-president, overseeing properties in Europe and the Middle East, and since 2013 has been posted in Dubai where he opened the Jumeirah Beach resort.
J. Allen Smith, president and chief executive of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, said: "We are proud to be able to promote from within as we develop the next generation of operations leadership at Four Seasons. Christian, Simon and Rainer are passionate about leading and inspiring their teams to do the same, a quality that is instrumental to our success today and in the future."
