Four Seasons appoints new vice-president of sales for EMEA

Kristien Deleersnijder has moved into an international role with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, having been appointed vice-president of sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

She previously held the position of senior director of marketing for Four Seasons UK collection and has been with the company for 26 years.

Deleersnijder will be responsible for driving the company's sales strategy in the region, overseeing sales offices in London, Paris, Frankfurt, Moscow and Dubai.

She will report directly to Jonathan Sicroff, the senior vice-president of global sales for Four Seasons.

Sicroff said: "With a strong track record in delivering results, this appointment recognises Kristien's extensive experience across all channels and segments in this culturally diverse region. Her ability to build and nurture relationships with our partners, hotels and sales teams combined with her impressive language skills will continue to strengthen our presence in the region."

Deleersnijder is fluent in English, Dutch, French, Italian and German.

In 2007 she was appointed director of marketing for Four Seasons hotel London at Park Lane and oversaw the hotel's re-opening in 2011, following an extensive four-year renovation.

She joined Four Seasons in 1989 as director of sales in London and helped to establish brand awareness in the UK and Europe for what was the first Four Seasons property outside of North America.

Commenting about her new role, she said: "I am excited about the new challenge ahead, working with a strong team of seasoned sales professionals to further build the brand in Europe, the Middle East and Africa."

Four Seasons currently operates three hotels in the UK: Four Seasons hotel London at Park Lane, Four Seasons hotel London at Canary Wharf and Four Seasons hotel Hampshire. A fourth property, Four Seasons hotel London at Ten Trinity Square, is expected to open in late 2016.
