Gaius Wyncoll named as general manager of Manor House Hotel

Gaius Wyncoll has been named as general manager of Exclusive Hotels and Venues site the Manor House hotel in Castle Combe, Wiltshire.

Wyncoll will take on the role in January after serving in the same position at another Exclusive Hotels site, Lainston House in Winchester, where he worked for four years.

He brings with him 20 years of hotel management experience, including positions at Macdonald Hotels, the Compleat Angler and Forte Hotels Group.

The Manor House Hotel, a 14th-century building, is home to the one-Michelin-starred Bybrook restaurant. Stephen Browning is stepping down as general manager after eight years to take up the same role at the Bath Spa hotel, owned and operated by Macdonald Hotels & Resorts.

Wyncoll said: "Being able to embark upon a new challenge within a group which I have been a part of for the past four years is a hugely exciting opportunity.

"I am looking forward to getting under the skin of another Exclusive property and leading the hotel forward towards a new chapter.

He will be replaced at Lainston House by Sunil Krishnan Kanjanghat, previously of Careys Manor Hotel and Senspa.

Exclusive Hotels and Venues managing director Danny Pecorelli said: "With Gaius' internal promotion from Lainston House, we are thrilled to welcome Sunil to the team.

"His professionalism, attention to detail and approachable manner make him perfectly placed for this challenging yet extremely rewarding role".
