Garry Hollihead becomes executive chef at Dubai's Grosvenor House hotel

Former Michelin-starred chef Garry Hollihead has joined the five-star Grosvenor House hotel in Dubai as executive chef.

As part of his remit at the 422-room hotel, Hollihead oversees all of the property's 12 food and beverage outlets, which include Gary Rhodes's Rhodes Mezzanine, Vineet Bhatia's Indego, Leaves, Sloanes, Bar 44 and Buddha Bar.

He remains a consultant to Mark Fuller's Concept Venues, which is set to launch a Dubai outpost of its Embassy nightclub at the hotel's second tower, The Residence, in 2010.

Hollihead said he was both excited and honoured to look after one of the most highly esteemed hotels in the Middle East.

"The decision to join as executive chef brings with it an exciting set of challenges and I am eager to immerse myself in this new role in the coming months. I look forward to supporting the hotel in its quest to be the very best that Dubai has to offer," he said.
