Gay-friendly Attitude Hotels signs four new properties

The gay-friendly hotel consortium Attitude Hotels has signed four new properties, in France and Italy.

The company, formed by Pedro Castro earlier this year, now has 30 hotels in its portfolio and brand presence in 15 countries. It has a target membership of 100.

The two hotels in Italy, the Residenza del Moro and the Albergo Pietrasanta, are both situated in Tuscany in former palaces.

The Residenza del Moro has 11 suites and is situated in the centre of Florence, while the Albergo Pietrasanta is located in the Tuscan hills in a 17th century palace, within driving distance of the gay-friendly Lecciona beach.

The two new French properties are located in Provence and the Dordogne. The Domaine les Roullets, is owned by a Dutch gay couple and the Domaine de la Millasserie is owned and managed by a French-American gay couple.

Pedro Castro, managing director of Attitude Hotels, admitted that finding properties that welcome gay and lesbian travellers had been difficult in the past "in certain regions and countries", but added that he was "proud to have these properties among our members".
