Gilbert Madhavan appointed GM of Raffles Tianjin in China

Raffles Hotels & Resorts has appointed Gilbert Madhavan as general manager of the Raffles Tianjin in China.
Raffles Tianjin is scheduled to open in February 2010 and will be the city's first penthouse hotel.
Madhavan has been with the group for 15 years. Prior to this appointment he was general manager of the Raffles Canouan in The Grenadines.
Previous positions include area general manager of the group's properties in Asia Pacific and general manager of the Raffles Grand Hotel d'Angkor in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
