Glasgow's Grand Central wins Principal Hayley award

Glasgow's Grand Central hotel has won the title of Principal Hayley Hotel of the Year 2012/2013, the second consecutive year it has scooped the title.

The official awards ceremony took place on Saturday 14 September at the Beaumont Estate, another property within the Principal Hayley collection.

The award is given to the hotel that demonstrates excellence across everything from customer service to achieving financial targets.

Speaking on the win Laurie Nicol, Grand Central general manager, said: "We are absolutely delighted to be named Principal Hayley Hotel of the Year for the second year running. Grand Central is a hotel with personality, run by people with a tireless passion and enthusiasm to ensure that guests receive the very best experience whether they are staying with us for two weeks or popping in for a glass of Champagne.

"Principal Hayley has amazing hotels in its portfolio and we are delighted that Grand Central has been recognised in this way. Grand Central is a phenomenal building, in an excellent location, within an exciting and vibrant city and we aim to continue to build on its reputation as Glasgow's hotel and continue to give guests the very best service, night's sleep, food, drinks and events for years to come."

Since opening in October 2010, Grand Central has now won 30 awards including, Scottish Hotel of the Year, Scottish Hotel Team of the Year, Events Hotel of the Year, The CIS Excellence Award for Business Innovation, Business Performance of The Year.
