Grantley Hall given go-ahead for second phase of development
Grantley Hall in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, has been given the go-ahead to build a function space in its grounds.
The project will be the second phase of the development of the hotel, after the renovation of the Grade II-listed property into a 52-bedroom hotel and the construction of a spa and wellness centre.
The planning permission for the function space includes the development of a new restaurant, bar and private lounge.
A Grantley Hall spokesperson said: "This marks a significant milestone for the project. We've been working in partnership with the council and its affiliated parties for more than two years to ensure the development becomes a project that the region can be proud of, attracting an international audience to this beautiful part of the UK.
"The approval from the council and the support of the local community are key for making this project a success and we are committed to continuing our work with all those involved."
The project is due for completion in 2018.
