Greg Dyke's Vine Hotels buys Best Western Cresta Court in Manchester

Vine Hotels, the group chaired by former BBC director general Greg Dyke, has acquired the Best Western Cresta Court in Altrincham, Manchester, in a £6.6m deal.

The 148-bedroom hotel has recently undergone refurbishment, including the addition of seven new executive rooms.

It is the first property operated by Vine Hotels in Manchester, adding to its existing Southampton and Sheffield locations.

Vine Hotels chief executive Garin Davies said: "We are delighted to have added Best Western Cresta Court to our portfolio. It is a great business and anyone who hasn't visited the hotel for a while will be very pleasantly surprised by the high levels of quality and service."
