Gregg Wallace grapples with diner at Wood Norton hotel ‘Dinner with Gregg Wallace'

MasterChef judge Gregg Wallace is claimed to have brawled with another man at Wood Norton hotel in Worcestershire after a public question and answer session on Saturday night.

According to reports the fight happened after a £225 five course ‘Dinner with Gregg Wallace' event at the hotel when a guest fondled the former greengrocer's girlfriend.

A witness told the Daily Mail: "The vast majority of those present were very drunk. I'm pretty sure Gregg had enjoyed a few drinks too. In fact, his girlfriend was one of the only people there who seemed sober.

"Gregg took exception to this man who was supposed to have been touching his girlfriend up. A table was knocked over as they grappled."

Another guest said that other diners had to pull the pair apart. The other man, who suffered a cut head and split lip, is understood to work for a local magazine.

Wallace's spokesman said that he had been involved in a disagreement at the event, but the situation was swiftly resolved and the two men later shared a whisky at the bar.
