Grosvenor hotel to relaunch as Amba Victoria

The Grosvenor hotel at London's Victoria is to be rebranded under GLH Hotels' Amba brand following refurbishment.

Currently operating under the Guoman Hotels brand, the 345-bedroom property is currently undergoing a redesign ahead of relaunching under the group's four-star brand.

The renovation project will be phased, with the Grosvenor Arms restaurant and Tea Lounge already complete. The hotel's bedrooms, meetings and events spaces, and additional food and beverage outlets will be fully refurbished throughout next year. The project is scheduled to be complete by the end of 2019.

GLH has worked in conjunction with designer Goddard Littlefair to create the property's new look.

Neil Gallagher, chief executive of GLH Hotels, said: "The expansion of the Amba Hotels brand, with the addition of the Amba Hotel Victoria, is a milestone moment for GLH Hotels… Each Amba hotel has a unique personality in an amazing central London location and we know Amba Hotel Victoria will be the perfect addition to this brand."

Founded in 2003, GLH Hotels has 17 hotels in London across its Guoman, Amba, Thistle, Hard Rock and Thistle Express brands. Amba Victoria will join two other hotels in the brands in Marble Arch and Charing Cross.

GLH also owns the Cumberland hotel, which is being relaunched as the UK's first Hard Rock hotel next year.
