Grove of Narberth seeks new GM as owners launch new travel business

The Grove of Narberth hotel in Pembrokeshire is seeking a new general manager following the promotion of Louise Barber.

Barber (pictured) has been promoted into a business development leadership role in the Seren Collection's new travel business Routescape.

Having been general manager of the 26-bedroom, four-red-AA-star property in Pembrokeshire since January 2017, she will move into her new role from 1 October with the launch of Routescape currently planned for the World Travel Market in London early in November.

Seren Collection food and beverage manager Alice Bussi will be stepping up to support the management team at the hotel in the interim period.

Neil Kedward, managing director of the Seren Collection, said: "Louise has done an amazing job as the general manager at the Grove but she is the perfect person to lead the development of this exciting opportunity for us. The search for a new general manager therefore begins.

"Grove is constantly moving forward and striving for the highest standards of quality. This is the perfect opportunity for a highly experienced hotel professional wanting to be part of our amazing journey in this most stunning part of Wales near the Pembrokeshire Coastal National Park."

Routescape will offer tours and travel experiences initially focused on the British Isles and will include stays in a collection of luxury hotels in scenic locations. Routescape will sit outside the Seren Collection group of hospitality businesses.
