Hard Rock Hotel London appoints Robert Catlin as hotel manager

The Hard Rock Hotel London has appointed Robert Catlin as hotel manager ahead of the site's opening in spring 2019.

Catlin spent 13 years at the Royal Albert Hall and the Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square before moving abroad. He went on to manage large hotels in the Middle east, including the Sharm El Sheikh Marriott Resort in Egypt.

His new role will see him manage all operations at the 1,000 room site, which will sit opposite Hyde Park on the corner between the capital's Oxford Street and Park Lane.

Hard Rock International currently operates venues in 74 countries - including 185 of the brand's trademark cafes, 25 hotels, and 12 casinos.

Catlin said: "I'm honoured to take on the role of hotel manager at Hard Rock Hotel London, which I'm confident will become one of the capital's hottest hotels.

"Our two vibrant bars and lively Hard Rock Café are set to be destinations in their own right - for guests, tourists and Londoners alike.

"By overseeing the hotel's entire operation, I will be responsible for ensuring each and every guest staying in our 1,000 bedrooms is getting the rock star treatment. I can't wait to get started."
