Hastings Hotels invests £1.1m in Slieve Donard resort

The Slieve Donard Resort & Spa in County Down is undergoing a renovation programme which represents a £1.1m investment from Hastings Hotels.

There has been a full redevelopment of the kitchen and the Drawing Room has been redesigned. The final stage is due to be completed in September when 16 of the 181 bedrooms will be upgraded.

Michael Weston, general manager of the Slieve Donard Resort & Spa said: "We continue to invest in the resort while honouring the building's legacy as one of Ireland's most majestic hotels."

The group has reported a 10% growth in turnover across the resort over the last 12 months and forecast bookings for the remainder of the year are described as "excellent".
