Hilton opens first Italian Garden Inn

Hilton Hotels Corporation (HHC) has opened its first Garden Inn property in Italy.

The opening of the Hilton Garden Inn Florence Novoli on 21 October is part of HHC's stated strategy to roll out its mid-priced US brands throughout Europe.

The 121-room hotel includes key Garden Inn features such as complimentary Wi-Fi in communal areas, flexible meeting space and 24-hour business centre.

Adrian Kurre, senior vice-president for Hilton Garden Inn said: "We are proud to bring a new hotel option for European travellers."

The opening follows the unveiling of the European version of the Garden Inn brand in Germany and the opening of the first European property in Stuttgart in September.

A further Garden Inn, the 282-room Hilton Inn Rome Airport, is set to open this December.
