Hilton recruits new head of global development

Hilton Hotels has recruited Steven Goldman as president of global development and real estate.

Goldman is currently president and chief executive of Sunstone Hotel Investors, a Real Estate Investment Trust that owns several upscale hotels.

He has also previously worked for Starwood Hotels and Starwood Capital Group.

Hilton's president and chief executive, Christopher Nassetta, said: "I am thrilled to welcome Steve to Hilton at what is a very exciting time in the company's history.

I am confident that given Steve's strong experience and impressive track record he will be a great asset."

Hilton has also promoted Ian Carter, currently chief executive of Hilton International, to president of global operations.

Head of Hilton grand vacations Asia Mark Wang has become president of Hilton grand vacations and Tim Harvey will now oversee shared brand services in addition to his role as chief information officer.
