Hilton to open hotel at Silverstone race circuit

Hilton has signed a management agreement with Bricks Capital to open a Hilton Garden Inn at Silverstone race circuit in 2020.

The property, which will overlook the starting grid at the iconic race circuit in Buckinghamshire, is due to have 197 bedrooms, a rooftop terrace and guestroom balconies, and will offer race day hospitality experiences for all the major sporting events held at the venue.

Built on the site of a World War II Royal Air Force airfield, Silverstone is the internationally-renowned home of British Motor Racing.

The hotel will also have direct access, via a cross-circuit footbridge, to the 3,000-capacity, 12,500 sqm Silverstone Wing Conference Centre, and a restaurant and coffee shop.

Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president of development, EMEA at Hilton, said: "We are privileged to open a hotel in such a prominent location on the circuit and we cannot wait to begin welcoming guests to this iconic location."

Peter Prickett, chief executive of Bricks Capital, said: "Our partnership with Hilton and the opening of Hilton Garden Inn Silverstone will enhance the circuit's appeal, offering quality hospitality year-round."
