Hilton Worldwide launches a 12-month Hilton Apprenticeship Academy
Hilton Worldwide is launching a 12-month apprenticeship programme for up to 100 individuals wanting to join the hospitality industry.
The Hilton Apprenticeship Academy will combine college-based courses with on-the-job training across six disciplines:
â- Front Office
â- Food & Beverage Service
â- Multi-Skilled Hospitality Service
â- Living Well Exercise & Fitness
â- Sales
The Hilton Apprenticeship Academy comes after the group's Chef Apprenticeship Academy, which has trained more than 60 apprentices since its inception in 2010.
Ben Bengougam, Hilton Worldwide's vice-president, human resources, Europe, said: "Young people are facing a difficult job market with high youth unemployment and many will be considering alternatives to university study. Our Hilton Apprenticeship Academy provides an entry-level education into the exciting world of hospitality and an attractive route into employment with one of the world's leading companies of its kind."
Each apprentice is fully funded, including tuition fees and travel expenses, and will receive a salary during the programme.
The academy is organised in partnership with training provider Lifetime UK. The aim is for each apprentice to achieve a Level 2 apprenticeship qualification. The programme will recruit more than 25 apprentices at each quarterly intake - at least 100 in the next 12 months.
